Fargo man charged with sexual assault, accused of impregnating 14-year-old

FARGO — A Fargo man is charged with a Class AA felony count of gross sexual imposition after allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl and impregnating her.

The man, MacKenzy Bazile, was 21 at the time of the alleged crime, according to court documents filed Monday, Feb. 11, in Cass County District Court.

According to court documents, the assault happened June 27 when the victim was staying in Fargo. The victim discovered she was pregnant when she returned to New York.

The victim told detectives Bazile, whom she had known, was responsible for the pregnancy. Tests were conducted on buccal swabs taken from Bazile, the victim and the child, court documents stated.

Results show Bazile is about 4 billion times more likely to be the biological father than a randomly selected male, court documents stated. As of Monday, court records did not list an attorney for Bazile.
